About
I'm a full-stack software engineer at TheBrain Technologies, working on a personal knowledge management platform. I build product features across the stack, integrate AI-assisted capabilities, and help evolve the architecture and cloud infrastructure. My favorite problems live at the intersection of engineering and experience: making complex workflows feel simple, fast, and satisfying.
My path into software wasn't traditional. I came up as a hands-on builder, moving from design and web work into the physical world: bikes, cars, electronics, fabrication, and machining, eventually running a small CNC manufacturing shop out of my garage. I joined TheBrain in a support role, earned the opportunity to dive into the codebase, learn how it worked, and contribute wherever I could. That non-traditional path gave me a builder's bias: make it real, make it reliable, then make it feel great.
I'm motivated by well-made tools. The kind that feel intentional, where the details disappear and the work flows. I tend to iterate until the product feels right, because that last bit of polish is usually what turns “usable” into something people actually enjoy.
